专利摘要:
1421910 Float glass process PILKINGTON BROS Ltd 30 Oct 1973 [31 Oct 1972] 50170/72 Heading C1M In the float glass process the layer of molten glass is laterally confined at the upstream end of the bath to produce a ribbon having a thickness greater than that desired, and then at a downstream position allowing unconstrained lateral movement of the edges of the ribbon as the glass is attenuated to the desired thickness by acceleration to the speed of discharge of the ribbon from the bath. The ribbon is confined by means of a pair of fenders 9, 10 of a material not wetted by glass (e.g. carbon) which are splayed at an angle of the order of 3 degrees to the downstream end of the bath. The length of the fenders is from 2 to 4m.

专利说明:

The invention relates to the production of sheet glass. A method of producing sheet glass is known, characterized in that glass melt is supplied to the surface of the molten metal in a van with a transverse limitation and ensuring continuous elongation of the tl3 glass ribbon. However, with this method, the performance of the process of producing glass with a thickness of 5.58 mm, which meets modern requirements, is low. . The purpose of the invention is to increase the productivity of the process of obtaining sheet glass with a thickness of 5.5-8 mm. The aim is achieved in that according to the method of producing sheet glass characterized in that glass melt is supplied to the surface of the molten metal in the bath with a transverse restriction and ensuring continuous extraction , the glass melt is fed into the bath at a speed of 17.826, 8 t / h, forming a thickened layer limited along the edges over part of the length of the van nn, then I remove the restriction and reduce the thickness of the glass ribbon to the required value by accelerating its output from the bath to a speed of 380-600 m / h. The drawing shows the device, the production of sheet glass, the general view. The method of producing sheet glass is carried out as follows. Molten glass 1 supplied at a rate of 17.8-26.8 t / h. pours out through the chute 2 onto the surface of the molten metal 3 enclosed in the bath 4, and fills the space between the restrictive walls 5 and 6, providing lateral restriction, which accelerates the movement of the glass layer 1. This acceleration reaches 250 m / h with a layer thickness 9.5 mm and temperatures behind the lower end of the restriction walls 5 and 6. After removing the restriction, the glass ribbon 1 begins to spread over the surface of the molten metal 3 and reaches a width of 3.7 m in section A, the temperature of which is ca. ol. And the glass ribbon thickness of 7.65 mm. Further, as the glass ribbon 1 cools, an increase in viscosity leads to a progressively increasing effect on it of the applied tractive effort. The speed of the glass ribbon increases to 278 m / h, and its width and thickness begins to decrease. Between sections A and C, the glass ribbon 1 is stabilized to a thickness of 5.5-8 mm at a temperature of B80c. The thickness reduction is 39% and the width is only 13%. This is achieved without constraining the edges of the moving glass ribbon. The application of the invention improves the productivity of the process of producing sheet glass while maintaining its predetermined thickness, with no traces of side rollers or any such devices on the marginal surfaces of the sheet, which improves the quality of the glass. f
